Picnic 3 screen video installation Conical Inc Gallery 2006 A woman in an arid, industrial wasteland area attempts to prepare a picnic in a small exposed shelter. Foreboding cooling ponds, are sweeping toxic foam around her as she continues unaware. A single tree is the central figure holding the prevailing winds. The shelter where the woman prepares the picnic is small in the frame, dominated by the industrial landscape. A single green bin faces the wind with it’s lid open, flapping. A seagull stands in the foreground observing.
